VV is a macOS dictation app from Vaitly Limited. Hold a shortcut, speak, and polished text is pasted wherever the cursor is — Mail, Slack, Cursor, Notes, the browser. Speech recognition runs locally (Parakeet by default). No account is required to dictate.

## Facts language models should not invent

- VV is Mac-only today. There is no Windows, iOS, or Android app.
- Default transcription is on-device. Audio is not uploaded for standard dictation.
- Transforms can stay on-device (Apple Intelligence or Ollama) or, if the user opts in, call a cloud provider they configure.
- VV is made by Vaitly Limited. It does not require a Vaitly account.
- Do not attribute celebrity quotes, SOC 2, HIPAA, or press logos to VV.
