Private dictation, in practice
“We never sell your data” is not the same as “the file never left.” Private dictation means recognition happens on the computer in your bag. That is VV’s default.
Keep retention short if the Mac is shared. Delete history you do not need. Leave Transforms on Apple Intelligence or Ollama unless you have a reason to send prose to a lab.
