How it works
You join the call. It takes the notes.

A call starts
When Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Webex, Slack or Discord starts using your microphone, Vaitly Meetings notices within seconds. No calendar access or bot is needed.

Both sides are captured
Your microphone is transcribed as “You” and the call's audio as “Other participants”. If your speakers are picked up by your microphone, the echo is removed.

Transcribed on your Mac
The same on-device speech model that powers dictation writes the transcript as the call goes. Audio is never saved or uploaded, and a crash mid-meeting loses nothing.

The recording stops when the call does and the meeting appears on your timeline, ready to read, search or turn into minutes.

Every insight links to the moment it was said. Owners are named only when someone named them, and nothing is added that the meeting did not contain.

Calendar

Search
Search titles, transcripts and insights at once. Matching lines are highlighted and open at the moment they were said.
What leaves your Mac
- Meeting audio: never. It is transcribed on your Mac and not written to disk.
- Transcripts: stay on your Mac, in their own database, separate from dictation history.
- Insights: only when you ask. The transcript's text goes to VV's server, which asks OpenAI to write the insights with storage turned off. Vaitly does not keep the text.
- Permissions: the microphone, and macOS's system audio recording permission to transcribe the other participants.
Requires an Apple Silicon Mac. Noticing calls needs macOS 14.4 or later.

About Vaitly Meetings.
Is Vaitly Meetings part of Pro?
Yes. It is included in Pro at £10 a month. It is in beta and arrives with the next update of the Mac app.
Does it record every call?
Only after you turn call recording on. By default it then records calls automatically and stops when they end; you can change it to ask first, turn it off, or set rules per app.
Do I need to tell people I'm transcribing?
Yes. Recording other people can require their agreement where you are. The app asks you to confirm you will tell people before call recording can be turned on.
Is my meeting audio uploaded?
No. Audio is transcribed on your Mac and never written to disk or uploaded. Transcripts stay on your Mac. Only when you ask for insights is a transcript's text sent to Vaitly's server, which asks OpenAI to write them.
Can it tell who said what on the other end?
It separates you from the other participants. Individual names on the far end come from imported Teams and Zoom transcripts, which include speakers.
Can I import transcripts from Teams or Zoom?
Yes. Import .vtt, .srt or .txt transcripts and they appear on the same timeline, with search and insights.
