What Pro adds
Speak the way you would to an assistant. “Make a list of the following”, “write a formal email to Ms Patel”, “boil this down” — Pro understands which words are instructions and which are what you want written, with no wake word to learn.
Emails get a greeting, paragraphs and a closing. Lists get real bullets. Messages stay short. Nothing is invented: no subject lines, signatures or placeholders you never said.
When a Teams, Zoom, Meet, WhatsApp or FaceTime call starts, Pro can transcribe it on your Mac: your microphone as you, the call's audio as everyone else. No bot joins the call.
For any meeting, ask for minutes, actions with owners, open questions, risks and decisions. Each one links back to the moment it was said.

No. Speech recognition runs on your Mac in Pro exactly as it does in Private. Pro sends text only: the finished text of a dictation for Cloud Polish, and a meeting transcript's text when you ask for insights.
Vaitly Meetings is in beta and arrives with the next update of the Mac app. It records only after you turn call recording on, and you are responsible for telling the people on a call that you are transcribing it.
No. Vaitly Meetings listens on your own Mac, so nothing joins the call and the other participants' apps are not involved.
Requests are sent with storage turned off, and Vaitly does not keep the text. Zero Data Retention is not in place, so OpenAI's standard API data handling applies.
